Chris said meet out there. Earlier, Jeremy pointed out the side where they were going to have m&g. Right after the show was over, I turned around and asked Ron if he wants to go to m&g then, he said "Let's go!"
I thought it woud be right out but I did not see any set up. I and Ron kept walking forward, we found the line of people. The line split to our side and people came out from top side. Some one told to marge but of cause either side did not want to give up own side of line. Finally, we had to marge to the other line, to extend up on the stairs. Ron and the other went under the hand rail I had un unbrella, so, the unbrella over, I went to under the rail.
I asked Ron to watch the spot and I was going to ladies room but there was long line and if I get to the line I would loose the spot so I went back to the m&g line. There was a couple and the lady needed to go and the guy was telling her to hold, I said I already tried and the line was long so she should stay. The guy was telling to go behind the fence, I said "yeah, we turn our heads." people around us was laughing.
That lady tried to stay and they asked me which CD she should get. I said "it's depend on your taste, if you like old American songs, last 2 CD are good. If you like original, the earlier ones which I like better...." Then, I was going to tell them which song are in which CD, I did not even remember. I really wished Linda was there. I bet you she could list every single songs. I need to memorise song titles and albums. I should make flash cards so that next time, when people ask me, I can answer. The lady left to the bathroom. " Your wife left. She's gonna loose spot." "Well, we are just friends. I guess she couldn't hold any more. I'm gonna have to let us pass."
The people behind me were from out of state. They wanted to go to Montoley Jazz Festival but it was sold out so, they decided to check out this Botti- Krall at Red Rocks show. He even didn't know Chris but it turned out good and here he's at M&G line. They asked me "where are you from?" "I'm originaly form Japan but I've been here long time. Just this accent doesn't go away." He wasn't the only one asked me this question at this show. Next time, I should say, "Oh, I saw him in Japan and since then, I'm following around him." Doesn't it sound Chris is international musician?
Ron was the best company to go to Chris' concert. He liked Chris' sound of casueplust his looks, too(that's "of casue", too. I would say.) Ron kept saying "Oooh, he's so handsome."
Ron said " I get so close to him, being next to him is something." He appreciates M&G so much. Yeah, we get close to this beautiful "thing" ( Chris' beauty is beyond human being!)
Ron asked me which CD he'd get, I said "Live". After the show, we got stack at parking so, I asked him to play. He has Bose with 6 disk changer and it displays CD and each track title. He got ticket for blasting music too loud the other day.
Ron took pix of me and Chris. Chris said "Hi, thanks for the flowers." and kissed me on the cheek. I said "Ron, you are supposed to take picture of Chris is kissing me." I guess he got spaced out. I had Chris sign on "Blue" CD. Thanks LInda. He looked at and said "Oh, (you got that one?)" and print out pic of Beaver Creek.
I don't know this lady, I think she's the one at front of us on the line but left to the bathroom. She said "Sorry, I did not bring flower or anything..." Chirs said " No problem, she's just crazy lady." (just kidding. oh, did he say that?) I like his smile in this pic. My turn was done but I wanted hung around and watch Chris. so as Ron.
There's a quite line afte us. Someone was selling CDs right side of Chris. At past shows, someone walk through the line and selling CDs but that way cash only. This night, they were accepting credit card. I thought about Ron should go up and get CD while we were on the line so that he can open and Chris can sign right away but Jeremy had CD opener and he was very busy for that.
Talkin about out of state, I went to bathroom on the way back to Diana Krall. I heard "..last time I saw him was Vorison theatre..." there's no Vorison in Denver, I asked "are you from out of state?" Yes, there were. Of cause they asked me back where I was from. Looks like Lots of were for Diana Krall and did not know about Chris but he got new fans, I'm sure. When I got back to seat for Dianna Krall, the lady next to me said, "Hey, your guy is good." I was talking to them before the show. They got ticket through Krall pre-sale on Wednesday. The regular ticket sale started on Saturday.
Jeremy directed people, made us comfortable waiting on the line.

I was glad Chris was in good mood. I asked Jeremy how Aspen was. He said it was weired. It was so small. I wasn't sure if they can do M&G at Red Rocks but they made it. No band members though. The venue did not let them. Jeremy said.

Opening CD job caught up, I asked Jeremy for pic with me. A few years ago, Jeremy was in background of pic with Chris without knowing who he was. It's kind of funny that Chris is in background. Chris was under the tent, we had unbrellas but opening CDs requires both hands and Jeremy was doing out there, he must be sorked. He wanted me to take pic of him with that..
I asked him when he's going to come back. He wants to play with Colorado Symphony. I want that happen.
The line was almost gone and I decided to get autograph on "Everyone's Hero" CD.
He said he hasn't watched the movie yet. I went to theatre with my girl.
Chris kept saying "thank you for the flowers." every time I was close to him. Hmm. I did red roses because of "Red" Rocks to match the color but since he liked it so much, shall I do red from now on? After I came home I looked at what he signed, he wrote "Love" on the pic. He ususally writes date, thanx, enjoy....well, no this wasn't first, after I look through CDs, "To Love again" and "The best" got "Love" on them. Well, "Love" sounds good. I posted in forum long time ago, phone # with "call me" would be good. ha, ha. He called me "baby",,,OK....can you start remembering me, Chris?
I try to remember when he was sign on "Blue" CD, he asked me how to spell my name, I started, "Y, O, S.." then, "Yoshiko, that I thought...thanks for the flowers. mmmmm(kiss)." I think he kind of remember me but not 100%. Jeremy must have told him about the flower and me. Jeremy himself said thank you a few times.(for the flower? Or coming to the show?) They told me about Red Rocks at Beaver Creek and said "See you at Red Rocks." I heard Chris was asking Jeremy about me "where is she from?" Jeremy was telling "(of cause) from Denver." then.
On the stage, Chris said " the big musicians play here and I'm playing now, it's..." well, I don't remember exact words but something, modest, apreciative about him playing at Red Rocks. When Jeremy told me he got booked to Red Rocks, I thought that would be good for Chris as a musician. Not just playing back of others like Sting, he as a solo artist, band master. Not just big venue big number of audience, like Madison Square etc.
The acoustic of Red Rocks and Chris' music was perfect match. In the radio program, "quiet Music", I hear the song, a sax player recorded at Red Rocks, I don't think it had back band and it sounds spacy.. anyways, I was expecting, Chris' trumpet sound spikes through on Red Rocks and it was more than my expectation. I could listen to just series of his sustain notes up there. I don't know who discovered Red Rocks but it's very magical space. The look and function. Oh, that's Chris, too. They are perfect match in that way.
I was so happy that he was happy with roses.Someone can be happy by what I do. I love my job.
