The almost every morning, when I go get flower to the cooler, David was there. One morning, I saw turqoise Hydrangias first time. I said to David " Those Hydrangias are so pretty. That's my favorite color. You know what? You have a same color of vase in your office." A little later that morning, I was at my station, David was behind me with that turqoise vase and said "were you talking about this? Here. You can have this." What a surprise!! I gave him thank you hug. It was about a week before my birthday so, I made it one of early birthday present. I sawBonnie at lunch room and I told about it. She was laughing and said it was from his ex-girlfirend and he must have been happy to get rid of it. What ever the reason was, since I'm a such a turqoise freek, I get turqoise vases when they come in. Years back, I asked Erin about that David's vase but she said "oh, no! Not that one!" I was looking at through the window when I pass his office to go to lunch. I was going to make something cool and give it to Dave for his birthday. I knew it would be sometime in August. I also liked his coffee mug. Once I asked where he got it. He said it was gift and he would ask.. So, this is what I came up. Howling wolf. Something mountainy, wild...I picked dried broken tree brunches from back yard. I looked for the picture of howling wolf and I drew it myself. I asked Nancy what David favoeite flower was. After she thought a little she said he always grabed miracle roses. Peace in heaven, David.Yoshiko |
