I knew I was going to bring flower to Jeff.

2doz red roses sounds(looks) too much like guys give it to their ladies.

His profile says his favorite color is blue. I ususally include blue delphiniums in his flower.

He's up beat guy, summer jazz festival --- I think sunflowers will do.

I have no idea how it goes..if Jeff's ever going to get this flower. Carrying this flower around at Jazz fest, people said "Wow, that's pretty." "Is that for me?" (usual).

Jeff was not going to come till later since Guitars & Saxes was scheduled for head liner.

Don said "this is good time to get rid of it." and took to someone. He said he asked security person to hand it out to Jeff. There's air conditioned room so, the flower should stay fresh.

Jeff and other G&S memebers arrived, started sound check. They don't play any songs together at this point. Compare to Candy Dulffer, while I and Mamie were waiting the door to be open, she was practicing songs almost another show. Still, Johnathan Buttler was like this and show was great so..

The show began.

Guitars & Saxes is 4 artists in a show and futured each one's songs so, to me, portion of Jeff is so little plus he comes to Colorado only once a year or even once in 2 years but he sometimes replys to my e-mails, it makes me feel like seeing him more often. He thanked for video clip of Jeff Beck and Pat Metheny I sent, almost like teen age boy.

I find old magazine and get to know his music more in the past. He was popular(by musician, high demand I woud say)sideman plus he started his own music, rising sun.

Here's surprise, After the show, on the way to the meets & greets line, Becky(19yrs of Winter Park Jazz fest!!!) stopped me and said The flower I gave to Jeff was nice and Becky's daughter took picture of it. She kept pushing button to rewind(?) pix in the her camera to show that. I said she could send it in e-mail but they insisted "you have to see it!!" Yes!! picture of the flower with Jeff!! Now, I know he got it. Plus this is the first time I've ever seen my flower and the guy are together. I couldn't wait she sends me e-mail of that picture.

During concert, I saw a young lady was walking around with biggo camera but I didn't think about she was Becky's daughter.

Last year,I met her at Stapleton, Jazz at Sunset.She was a student in Alabama and visiting mom.

First time I saw Jeff was Winter Park in 2000. He blew me away.

I check around about him and found out he was Avenue Blue which I always liked on the digital music station of cable TV. I did like his music before I met him. I did not know about meet & greet but Bobbi, Jeff's discographer said to stop by after the show, he's nice guy. I went back Winter Park next year with all his CDs. Jeff replyed to my first guest book entry so, I said "I'm kurobecca.", He looked like he recognized me and gave me a hug. 2001

Honestly say Jeff's stage wasn't the best this year.

Next day of this Winter Park show, the owner of my job died.

Right before the show, the guitarists Jeff respects died. I guessed he was sad by that but a week later he said he was sufering high altitude, luck of oxigen. I heard Richard Eliott had to get oxigen musk stop playing a song one of the year. This year, Macoy Tynor was supposed to come to the other jazzfest but his doctor stopped and someone substituted. He may has to think about coming up the mountain show...he still has to come to Denver for me though.

Jeff thanked for the flower, said " it made my day." It's only a few hours, even less than that may be a few minuits before the show..I wish we live in same town. Once I sent flower to NY show, he got taken it home and his wife enjoyed, too.

NY inspires him and he makes songs about NY so, this is how it goes...
